My Teesdale Way loop has become a jungle, the path overgrown after all that rain.
I went on a smaller trip today. Backing up some files took longer than anticipated (of course) and the sun was quite low. All I wanted was to sooth the ache from yesterday's long ride, get some fresh air and justify the consumption of another petit four.
Not having taken this rather short loop for a fortnight, it was amazing how overgrown it was - to the point of getting levered off my bicycle and dodging eroded bits of the riverside path. It makes for some fun cycling, though, and while cycling on the road burns some nice calories, this is quite good for upper body strength and posture. Then decided to cycle to Gainford to check out St. Peter's School, being suitably impressed with it at 3am once made me want to go back, but it just looked like a sad and derelict, yet once elegant building in the evening sunshine.
