For the past 3 or 4 years, I've known a fellow from the UK who participates in several of the Yahoo Model Engine groups. We have also corresponded directly during that time. Dave expressed a hope that he might make it to one of our model shows in the USA and it came to pass that he came to the US a couple of weeks before our show and drove all the way up from San Francisco after flying in from Ireland (where he now lives). It was a great experience to meet Dave and have him at our show. The "committee" saw to it that he received a small token of appreciation for having come so far to attend GEARS.
