Redwing from castings, Odds & Ends engine by Philip Duclos and the tall silver engine is an original Carl built without plans. He calls it the "Simple Single". In this picture, there is no head on the engine. That's because Carl is holding it and fabricating a new head gasket from some heavy paper because the original gasket "blew" during the show. In about a half hour, it was running again! On the far left are a number of bits and pieces that Carl has out for visitors to pick up and handle. He has several items for folks to handle, turn flywheels, push valves ... good idea.
