I met Mike riding on the train one evening on my way home.
In the space of fifteen minutes or so,
he proceeded to tell me of his misfortunes after growing up in Chicago,
joining up with the Marines and being over in Vietnam in the latter years of the war.
From his service years he ended up contracting the Agent Orange illness
and subsequently developed cancer.
He is currently battling with the system over full benefit payments
he believes are being denied.
