At our last Inn (ryokan), in Karuizawa.

Old fashioned, but all the Inns we stayed had wi-fi and some had tv's.

Havent seen this kind of dial-phone for a long time now. Those these inns/ryokans located off the tourist hotspots have ensuite bathrooms or guests must use the public onsens ..?

I remember dial phones from back when I was really little. The sound is cool as the dial goes round with each number entered. How interesting that some places in Japan still use this old school technology. This really is vintage. It's a reminder of simpler times.
