Porters!

A shout of "Porters!" and we would clear the trail as they rushed by us to set up camp ahead of us.
They were always happy to see us and would say "Jambo" or "Hello" in Swahili.

They would carry a maximum of 35 lbs of gear on their heads as they passed us.
