The beginning of the shedding of Hangar One

The historic Hangar One at Moffett Field.

It was built in the 1930s as a naval airship station for the USS Macon.

The metal skin is being removed due to its toxic paint.

I believe that NASA will provide a new cover when the funds are made available.

Yes, it looks like they tried to camouflage it by it's surroundings...the barbed wire indicates they are serious about keeping intruders out!
