HI Geoff

We are looking to run a theatre piece in SA, where the focus is the development of young musical talent. The show is called "Places in my mind" and I would like your OK to use some of your pic's as back ground files for the show.

Please contact me at kevin@livethemusic.co.za or visit the web site for more information about the show.

Thank you in advance

Hello Mr Delderfield

I was searching the web for a picture of a dandilion to be used on a web presentation of a non profit self helping technique. The withering dandilion with its new seeds represents the rebirth and restart that many users of the technique often experiences and it is fitting that the cover page of the presentation be a dandilion.

Of the hundreds of dandilions I have looked at both from stock catalogues and on the web, yours are certainly the ones that fit our purpose best.

I don't want to use your picture without having contacted you, so if you please, send me an email to are_padar@yahoo.com.

Thank you,

Are Padar

Hey Geoff; I can't really say how impressed I am with your portfolios. You have many many amazing shots there, which are inspiring me with ideas. I particularily like your still life shots and would love to know what you use from a studio or lighting perspective to achieve these results. I reckon there is a book there, if you have time. You truly are a great photographer and the portfolios you have posted are a real credit to you and make the internet (for me anyway) a better place. I keep on coming back just to browse your shots. Best wishes, Mark (Cork, Ireland).

Hi there - I absolutely love your photography! I especially love 'Spring's newborn', and would love to use it on a poster for a forthcoming concert - would this be OK as long as I credit your work and direct people to this site? Obviously if you are not happy with that then that's OK - please let me know (keh35@cam.ac.uk).

Keep smiling :-)

Amazing photographs.. simply amazing..!
Inspired me enough to go out and get myself a digital camera. Now I walk around with it shooting parts of cars especially tail lights and such details from unusual angles ... plan to put them up someday.. but my work is not a patch against the sheer talent that you have!
Cheers mate! Keep up the good work!

Hi Geoff,

Your work is simply beautifull, very creative and inspired! Thanks for sharing!

I myself am just learning how to make decent pictures, and I use a Minolta 7Hi for it. I was thinking about buying a new digital SLR, but after seeing the pictures you made with your 7Hi, I changed my mind. It made me realize that a better camera doesn't make better pictures!!!

Thanks!

You photos are wonderful. The Memorial Day tribute with the images around Ypres and the Sanctuary battlefield and trenches were very moving.

I also really dug the subway series ("Over and Under Ground"). Nice motion effects, too. Looks like they were actually captured in camera. Reminds me of the old city street scenes/slice of life photos of the 60s. Processing of the images is great, too.

Thanks for posting.

Hi Geoff
Thanks for the comment on my Beijing shot. Much appreciated. Good to know that my two hour Beijing traffic jam can at least produce something worthy of comment. Your own land and seascape shots are immensely impressive. Don't feel worhty looking at them.
Take care for now

Hi Geoff.
Obviously we are local to each other I assume. I'm inbetween Clevedon & Portishead. Nice photos. Really nice. You know it's funny, one can totally ignore a place like Clevedon Pier as it's so well known. All it takes is to really look at it though. My gallery has a few from the sea wall end of Clevedon, down by Poet's walk, going to add some more if I get time tonight.
I've not spent anytime around Portishead marina. must take a trip down there sometime soon.
Cheers.

Hi Geoff,

I'm really impressed by your photos! Were all images taken with a Minolta DiMAGE 7Hi?

I've have my 7Hi for 2 years now and have yet to achieve the level of clarity they you have in your photos.

Do you shoot in RAW format?

Any hints or tips regarding the 7Hi would be greatly appreciated!

Keep up the great work!

Best regards,

Russ

Loved your galleries Geoff - especially 'waiting for the train'.
Very much like b&w - except my printer (Canon i960), while great for colour doesn't do that well with b&w images.

Geoff,

Thanks for your comment on the Pad today. You have excellent galleries that any member can learn from you. Good luck with the photograph "Waiting for the train".

Thanks for you comments on my Prague gallery. I love your autumn, macro and black and white galleries. I'll be returning to view the others.
Are you still happy with your Minolta?
I'm tending towards a Canon 10D as the next step, but I really appreciate the advantages that the Minolta offers; size, weight, lens etc.
I'd be interested in your views.
I envy you those bright red leaves that are not very common here in Austria.

Cheers!

Hi Geoff,
I had no idea of your amazing talents and am very very inmpressed! You should really be selling these, theres no end of people and companies that would buy them. I but postcards and greetings cards like your still life collection all the time from card shops. So quit your job and take yourself and your amazing portfolio everywhere and make loads of money and be happy!!!!!!

Hello Geoff,

My name is Kathleen and I am from the US..My fiance is a Channel Islander...He proposed to me last year by bringing me to London before going on to see his family for Christmas..Had you taken that shot when I was there I would have been leaning on the Dali sculpture while being proposed to! That picture brought tears to my eyes and I want to thank you for that..Unfortunately we didn't have a camera...I would be very interested in purchasing a print of that photo..I'm unclear if you sell any of your work...Either way the photo took my breath away..Thanks!

Thanks for the vist to my PaD gallery Geoff. After seeing your work, the compliment you left is all the more flattering.
I very much appreciate black and white work and I have a complete fear of taking candid photos. I voted for your London underground work both for quality and "degree of difficulty."
You should consider doing a Picture a Day. I'd love to see what you come up with. See this gallery for almost 100 others doing a PaD. http://www.pbase.com/jeannius/links_to_other_photo_a_day_people

Geoff, in all my years of teaching Photography, I have never been so blown away by such a portfolio of Photography.
So, WHY are you not earning a living AS a Photographer ?? You definitely have the talent - don't waste it !
It would be a shame if you were wasting your time in some mundane job - Accountancy, Engineer, Sales ....
Vanessa Flint 12-Jan-2004 14:06
A Great Gallery, you're very talented and get better with every shooting session, keep up the good work! It's such a shame that you can't be on the other side of the camera when we get married in September!! although I can't wait to see the pictures of Mauritius! Ness xx

Hi Geoff, Have had a really good look at your piccies today and they all look very professional - the one's of Smudge are really cute. Have made lots of people at work look at them and we have all decided it is time for you to go PRO! Really liked Westinburt Arboretum too - if only the pictures I took with my Canon Ixus APS were as nice! You should be really proud of yourself as your gallery looks great. Keep up the good work - Emma xx
