"Award winner exotic hibiscus 'Rags to Riches' is a super bloomer! It is constantly covered with multiple 6-8" bright red singles with a red eye, fuchsia halo, and yellow sparks on each petal. The flowers develop more yellow sparks in summer heat. 'Rags to Riches' is the offspring of two tried and true hibiscus parents, 'Saffron' https://pbase.com/britestar/image/172984926 and 'Cranberry Muffin.' The bush is upright, medium sized, and a great bloomer! Released from HVH in 2014. Hybridizer: C. Black"

Growing indoors in Winter, the color seems rather different than when the plant is outdoors in warm weather. It's still pretty, however. This plant has gone from outdoors on our deck (until late October) to indoors in the Solar Room (late October to early December) to indoors in the dimly lit foyer (for a month: December until after New Year's) to back out to the Solar Room (now). It has bloomed in all locations.
Here she was back in the Spring of 2020 https://pbase.com/britestar/image/170839544
Lots of yellow back then... She's a chameleon.
