This 35 year old cactus plant is supposed to grow straight up.
However, somewhere over the years, she took a right angle turn. Top heavy and now U-shaped, she needs support to keep her in the pot. Actually with an extremely shallow root system, she has uprooted herself during 3 different Winters. Each time, I have put her back in the pot and added additional, external support to help hold the weight. Despite all that she has gone through, she remains a prolific Spring, Summer, and Fall bloomer & is probably my favorite cactus.
