Very dirty Glass
Mundane Scene
But after looking at this view for a week from my hotel balcony, I had to capture the memory. Because my hours were different than theirs, I never saw anyone in this office cubicle. However, this is a slice-of-life from somebody's life.
Each night when I looked across the way into this window, I vaguely felt like Jimmy Steward in "Rear Window". Peeking into other's windows normally isn't my thing. But I couldn't resist.
The mundaneness of this scene took me away from my fancy suite in a 5 Star hotel on the 38th floor and back to the real world. Although it may not be exciting, there is often something reassuring about the mundane, real world. Having this vicarious connection to the real world reminded me of my husband back home waiting for my return from my long trip.
Thus, this image. Not good quality photography. I think the office window glass distortion was a big part of the problem. Whatever...This photo may not be of interest to anyone else. But it was a moment in time for me.
EXTRA NOTE: If I could see into this window, anyone at that desk could see me, too...doing what one does in a hotel room.
