In 1856 French chef M. Sanzian created this wonderful dessert at the Parker House Hotel in historic Boston.
Boston Cream Pie is a combination of sponge cake and vanilla custard pudding; topped with a chocolate glaze.
The oldest operating hotel in the USA, the Parker House still serves Boston Cream Pie to this day. In fact, it even serves this treat for breakfast!!! Breakfast was when I shot this image.
