The field sits beside the walking trail along the River. Before spilling into town, flood waters will first cover these low lying area making them unrecognizable.

There is no doubt that this baseball field and walking trail will be under many feet of high water. Even if the town itself were to be spared, this alone is a reason for local health concerns. Snakes and raw sewerage have been in the water of floods here in the past.
However, unlike the predicted 2011 Flood, those past floods fortunately receeded rather rapidly. The Flood of 2011 will remain for weeks. During the heat of Summer, long lasting, stagnant flood water brings with it increased concerns.
