It was getting dark, and I wasn't expecting to take any photos. So I only had my emergency, pocket P&S with me. Since it has no zoom power, you can see how close this lovely doe was. Although TS1 isn't at its best at iso 800, it's not totally shabby either. As you can see - from the deeply shadowed the woods - how the lighting was starting to disappear. My husband said that he sees several deer in this same spot almost every morning when he leaves for work at dawn. So they're part of the neighborhood.
