The Second Day...when the Sea was actually calmer. Still, I had to brace myself and hang on to the furniture (which was tied down)to balance enough to get this shot.
The Seas were moderately "heavy" during our crossing. It was rough enough to know that you were sailing the infamous Drake Passage http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_roughest_sea_in_the_world
Fortunately, they were not so rough that EVERYONE had to crawl to the bathroom on their hands and knees to hang over the porcelin bowl. The Ship's Captain did forbid everyone from going out on Deck or opening their balcony doors because waves reached the top of the ship. Still, things could have been worse. Some of us could still move about the ship. Others, more prone to Sea Sickness, were not so lucky. Those poor folks blessed being able to close the curtains and just hide in the dark hole of their cabins. After I took this photo, I headed upstairs to the bar and the company of the other souls who found the passage fascinating.
