No, Gail's room at the Auckland downtown Backpacker's Hotel.

This is the entire room!!! No windows; no place to hang clothes. Although there was a small fan to move air, the temperature must have been at least 95 degrees inside. Gail said that she couldn't sleep. I can easily understand why. Despite a total lack of security, she had to leave her door to the hall open overnight. The hall had a funky, not very pleasant odor. Gail said that she would NEVER stay there again!

After our Pride of Auckland Cruise, I was happy to be able to go back to the Crown Plaza http://www.pbase.com/britestar/auckland_crown_plaza across the street! Gail too. And we again talked until 2AM before she finally returned to her "cell".
