The age of a Chihuahua in human years is typically calculated a bit differently from larger dogs, as small breeds tend to age slower than larger breeds. A common formula is to multiply the dog's age by 4.3. So, an 11-year-old Chihuahua would be about 47 human years old. However, the AKC "small breed" formula says that an 11-year-old, small dog is 60 years old in human years. That includes all small breeds under 20 pounds, not specifically Chihuahuas. Meanwhile, age (provided by either of these formulas) is just a number. Who knows which formula is right. I would guess the first one because most 11-year-old Chihuahuas act middle aged & not elderly. But don't they now say that 60 years old is "the new 40"?

We are so blessed to have Bailey as part of our family.
Each and every day, we love her more & more & more.
So much so that it's almost unbelievable.
Bailey is my constant companion.
Most of these photos are candids from everyday life.
However, she also still does some professional modeling work.
It's nice to have a dog who can earn a paycheck.
But even nicer to just have Bailey's love.
Bailey is our 2 ¾ pound princess.
