Pixie

The once fabulous Pixie Restaurant, Lounge and Motel located outside New Oxford, Pa. In its hayday "The Pixie" was known for its pink and green neon and its zesty version of 1,000 Island salad dressing. Before being replaced with a back lit fluorescent model its roadside sign was once a dab of Las Vegas neon in the otherwise drab rural Adams County countryside. The Pixie was a place to get a good steak cheap. The Pixie was also a classic "no-tell" motel, with its parking area and rooms hidden from view to those driving past on Route 97. It closed in the late 90's and has been quietly yielding to the whims of Mother Nature.
