These images aren't meant to have any particular artistic value--they are simply to document teh set created for this shoot. :) The set in this shoot is full of antiques from the Victorian era (mostly late 1800's through early 1900's), as well as with some modern touches. The alabaster bust was purchased for me in San Gemignano, Italy, by my beloved little sister, Willow. The main paintings and sketches were done by Heather, as was the beautiful tile floor...and the one of the brooding Victorian gentleman near the chair on the right was the inspiration for this shoot. The entire set took three hours to build, even with Heather and Chris helping me. Chris is tall--and was invaluable for tacking things up that were too high for me to reach--never mind the fact that he is a world-class twine and picture holder! ;) I spent a lot of time dangling precariously from ladders, while Chris and Heather beetled about, finding hammers and nails and scissors and things for me, when I called for them. Both Heather and Chris provided invaluable second and third opinions on what was and wasn't working on the set--it was truly a collaborative effort where I see pieces of each of us, when I look at the final result. These images are proofs only - batch processed and lightly retouched for web viewing, and are not meant to reflect a finished product in any way.
