I was fortunate to have a snowstorm which left me stranded for several hours near the Eisenhower tunnel on I-70 in Colorado the night before - for it dropped rain over the Fisher Towers and gave me the opportunity for a reflection in the newly formed puddles at sunset! Perhaps I should have stayed higher on the trail for the 'magic hour', but I was very satisfied with what I found near the trailhead, where this photo was also taken.
I approached this scene and was excited about the possibilities. I photographed it at several times during the sunset, with the sunlight on the foreground rocks, and with only the last of the light kissing the tops of the towers. This image, taken in the middle of the series of photos, is my favorite.
