As the early afternoon sun moves across the Wave during the Winter, the north side 'heats' up considerably, as the shadowed south side of the wave cools in the indirect light of the sky. I have many compositions made at this time of day showing only the sunlit rock and shadow, but prefer at this time this view which includes some reference to the sky (when I'm in a more 'abstract' mood I'll revert back to the 'tighter' images!). I used the clean edge of the sunlit wall to part this image in half; one side warm and very bright, the other relatively cool and dark. While I'm still playing around with the cropping of this image, I like where it is at this time.
Very minor Photoshop enhancement for this image of contrast/saturation.
