Well within living memory this area was full of cranes unloading from the numerus ships in this the pool of London.With the coming of much larger vessels they are unloaded further downstream

This is a beautiful photograph. I like the sparkles emited by the rippling water surface. You could turn this photo into 'moonlit' night shot! I suppose you had nothing around the place to cover up the sky space. I take it that this was taken around 11o'clock in the morning. Raman
