The new Women's hospital in Naivasha is nearly complete (70-80%). Funding however is only at 60%. Work is currently at a standstill until further funds can be allocated. Once complete it will take a tremendous strain off the existing hospital where currently there are 3-4 women plus their newborn to each bed. Many women in the area choose to deliver at home since the existing hospital is so overcrowded.
