Kharu - A New Leaf

This is a very special gallery to me. Over the last few months I have been on the verge of walking away from photography. I hadn't taken a really good shot in nearly a year. In desperation I turned to Manuel Librodo to re-inspire me and help me to re-discover my love for photography. I made the trek to Thailand but sadly he was unable to see me but he had several words of encouragement. He said "you don't need me. You already know how to take a photo. Come with me to Malaysia and meet Kharu and do a shoot with her there." I followed his advice and I discovered with Kharu's help that all I needed was the right inspiration. A special thank you to Dr. Banhup Teh for his hospitality and letting us use his house. Also a big thank you to Kharu for helping me to believe again.

Brett...your worst work is better than most of the 'good' shots I have ever seen! Keep the faith, dear friend. Your story nearly brought a tear to my eye...how often do artists come so close to abandoniong their craft out of frustration, yet only to find that it was the frustration itself clouding their view, not the work that was bad. Listen, I would travel to Australia to study under you. Your work is inspiring and has been a driving force for me to make my own work better and better.
