2008 Haines Alaska Bald Eagle Festival

We attended the 14th annual Bald Eagle Festival in Haines Alaska. The Chilkat River has a section that never freezes. The salmon continue to run till late November. The eagles come from far and wide to feast on them. Eagle count is from 3000 to 4000 during the festival. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

I had NO idea there was a Bald Eagle Festival!! I'm going to have to GO to that next year!!
