the old chess club

I paid a visit to the old club after 25 years. We played in the two front rooms on the left and right. The college had been kind enough to allow us the use of this 19th century academic building for our meetings. The ancient atmosphere was great for playing chess. It was like the ghosts of Lasker, Steinitz, Capablanca were hanging about laughing at our blunders. I loved competitive chess then...I lived for it...but I never quite made it to master level. Somewhere along the line I busted a gear up in my head and my nerves collapsed...so I quit the game forever.....but it was fun seeing the old joint again. :)

PS: This is the highest speed MF film available and I really like it.

Yes, a great picture and a great story.
A very handsome old building, still with its original features.
And at least your your photography gears are still running smoothly.

Excellent image and story. The 3200 shows a nice tonal quality here - the 6x6 negative size helps a little, too. *V*
