I like the idea very much, but I guess the effect would have been stronger if the other 15 cups would have been exactly aligned. Unfortunately, nearly all cups in the bottom row are misaligned, and the cups in the right-most column are rotated differently, too. Nevertheless, very nice picture and a good eye to come up with the idea.
