This male Rose-breasted Grosbeak first stopped by my feeders on Saturday, April 25. I got a fleeting look. I put out an extra feeder filled with mostly black oil sunflower mixed with a small amount of Blue Seal Concerto. The bird returned Sunday evening around 5:30pm and fed for 5 minutes while I made some images. He has returned each evening and spent some time at the feeder this evening (4/29/09) as well.

On the feeder, but how to get the seeds?
Sucess at last!
But what is that loud clacking noise!?
Seems to be harmless, back to the sunflower seeds.
