1/12 - Fire

Dallas view map

I work from home and this afternoon I got pulled out of my off after listening to a helicopter hover over my neighborhood for more than 30 minutes. When I got outside I discovered there were no less than 3 helicopters hovering over a fire in an apartment complex less than 500 yards from where I live. My junior photojournalist side kicked in and ran down the street corner to see what there was to see but decided not to get any closer due to the large number of fire, police and rescue equipment and personel headed in that direction.

Here one of the news helicopters overlooks the scene.

According to the news some 36 units were involved with over 100 firefighters on site. No residents were injured.
