Corregidor is a small rock of an island strategically located at the mouth of Manila Bay in the Philippines. The island today stands as a memorial & testament to the courage and heroism of the thousands of Filipino and American soldiers who died defending it during World War II.

I visited the "island" for the first time in 1998 (courtesy of friends at the DOT)... I would highly RECOMMEND such a visit to anyone who loves the study of World War-2 in the Pacific as well as for history buffs...
