David; I arrived at pbase in my search for Oly C8080WZ samples to firm up my buying decision. There is quite a variation in image quality as well as composition. I kept "hitting" on shots which impressed me greatly under your name. I am grateful to have had this opportunity to view what can be acheived with this camera and am surprised to read that you are an "amateur". I assume you have some schooling in this fine art as your photos certainly stand out. Keep up the good work and thanks for the demo.

Hey!
Now I saw all your work
All your galleries have something in common that I love.
NO matter if it is astronomy, geology, flora, fauna, the insects, the sea life, all the nature or abstract paintings or abstract trigonometric random imaging ( fractals, transitions) :
>>>>>>>>>>>>>I just love colored and patterned stuff :)<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

I will keep visiting your place here looking for more :)

The details that your photos show are really intricate. Your use of light and proximity shows a truly artistic talent. I love them all but especially the "drummer"!

Bill,

Thank you for taking the time to look and your nice comments. This particular spot on the Potomac is approximately 2 miles north of Harpers Ferry were West Virginia and Maryland border the river.

David,

I found the photos in Wild Things to be very beautiful and I was especially interested in the Potomac River shots. Where on the river were they taken? Must have been upriver quite a distance from DC. How beautiful and pristine it looks.

The smallmouth bass was very interesting. I am a fisherman.

Thanks for sharing your great photos with us.

Great job David! You've captured some very unique moments, especially the moon, planet, and firefly...I've got the blue dragonfly as my screensaver...especially love being able to see the details on the dragonfly's head!
