While working as artist-in-residence at the Glen Arbor Art Association in May, 2009, I shot images of found letters as a creative discipline. I discovered an additional creative problem in arranging them into a poster because I wanted to include images from the town of Glen Arbor, from the surrounding Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, and from the Port Oneida Historic District, and I wanted the color and shapes to work well together.

The "P," by the way, can be found in the shape of the light in the "O"image--the ladybird beetle.
