An Unhappy Osprey

Calvert Cliffs SP, Calvert, MD

This osprey flew in right over me after having left a perch on the
other side of the beaver dam and was just about to settle in when he
noticed me.....Directly below.
I apologize for the delayed comments my DSL has been acting up.
Hopefully I'll get through some tonight.

I've added five new shorebirds to the "Birds of Southern MD Gallery"

I am new to Maryland (from California) and found your beautiful photos of birds. I am a bird lover and have been trying to figure our what I have been looking at. Your photos will help me greatly. May I share them with my Facebook friends or on Pinterest?
I would love others to see them.
Thanks Ginger

That's what I call hazardous shooting.
Herb 21-May-2007 03:44
That is a risky position to shoot from LOL
Nice catch.
The female peregrine has found a mate and they are busy doing what birds do.

Glad to see you were all the way out at 400 mm. At 80, this would really be one scary photo.
