Trying hard to catch up ;o(

This is a shot from Artist Pallette in Death Valley.
This is the same location as the second study in Dan Marguilis'
book the Canyon Canundrum Lab Color, and boy it came in handy here.

This shot was taken at roughly noon and straight out of the camera did
not give the sense of the great color variation in this canyon. So
I worked the L channel for a little beter contraast and the A channel
to improve the reds and purples.
