Hi, you sell prints?
Pere Renom 19-Nov-2012 14:10
Dear Bryan Ramsay,
I write a weekly article in a Spanish newspaper called ARA. One of the topics I would like to explain is the relation between the orchid Angraecum sesquipedale and the star of Betlem.
I would like to know if would be possible to use your beautiful photo of this species.
Of course your name would be included and I would send you a pdf of the article after publication. Thank you very much and best regards,

Pere Renom

Hi Bryan
Hi my name is Jay Pfahl and I write , the Internet Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia. It is an international effort to have all the worlds orchid species with photos in one easy reference spot. At this time there are close to 11,000 species represented in 758 genera. I hope that you are aware of it but if not check it out. The site is non-commercial, no plants are sold, and the site is free for all to use. There are more than 800,000 users from around the world.
You have an orchid photo that IOSPE does not specifically Eulophia callichroma but I am sure that there may be others. I will give full credit to you as the photographer and I will also link up to your P-base website at each photo site. Please let me know if you are interested in letting me use it. When you write please mention Eulophia callichroma
Thanks in advance
Jay Pfahl

We would like to use this image to accompany an article we will shortly be publishing on Darwin. The article will be published online and will be free of access. You will of course be properly acknowledged for.

With thanks and best wishes,

Hi Bryan...great photography. I noticed you didn't have any Great Blue Heron's. I thought I'd let you in on the absolute most amazing spot to photograph Great Blue Heron's as well as Great Egret's, Night Heron's, Juvenile Night Heron's, Osprey, Swan's, Duck's, and sometimes Pelican's. In the San Fernando Valley you will find Balboa Lake (manmade) off of Victory and Balboa. You will want to go early in the morning around 7:15 or so. Plan on spending a few hours and bring a long lens & plenty of CF cards as you will be feasting on the opputunities. There are fisherman that regularly feed the birds so they are very people friendly and will let you get very close. I usually try to go on weekday mornings so it is less crowded. If you'd like to arrange to meet me there I would gladly show you the best spots to be. E-mail me if you like.

San Diego, CA: I came across one of your Masdevallia pinnochio photos. Great shot! I just acquire my first on Saturday at the San Diego Orchid Society's show. An interesting and beautiful flower. Great orchid library too. Do you cultivate orchids?

Just heard about your photography. The Alaska photos are really inspirational and bring back many wonderful memories of my adventures up there, especially the bear coming up stream (at us). Al, the birder, will be most impressed. Hope you had a grand time, would love to talk with you about a photo or two - Carol

Recent comments on my 9/11 photos. I wish I had the camera I have now. Looking back on my visit, I wished I photographed hundreds of images as I do now with most subject. Live and learn. In photography, especially with digital, you capture more than you will ever use. Thanks for your input. CK
