This bird was initially pursuing a shorebird before I took this photo. I was birdwatching along the shore, and from behind me I heard a sound similar to that of a kite being pulled taught. I turned around and saw the Peregrine Falcon spiraling right above me! This is the only time I have seen and heard a Peregrine Falcon zip by me!
