Separate Winter 2012 gallery: A day with Birdchick & Friends in Sax-Zim Bog
My good friend Sharon Stiteler and a group of birding buddies came up from the Twin Cities for the day, to visit the bog. We started the day off with literally hundreds upon hundreds of Common Redpolls, found a Black-backed Woodpecker deep in the bog, had a full-spectrum of boreal-bird sightings throughout the day, and ended the day with a Great Gray Owl. It was a spectacular day.
This gallery shares some of the fun moments from that trip. Enjoy!
