Rupes Recta (the Straight Wall), the most well known
fault line on the moon is about 68 miles in length and approximately
800 feet high. The image was made about two days after the
optimum lighting time, but he feature is still visible. The Straight Wall
is not really a wall, but a gently sloping fault line with a slope
of about seven degrees.
