On September 12, 2012 my wife and I had to go into Philly (by car). I had a doctor's appointment at Jefferson.
After the appointment, we went to the Italian Markets for some "essentials" and for another great lunch at the award-winning Paesano's on 9th Street.
Paesano's is located in the heart of the Italian Markets on 9th Street in South Philly
Proud signage
Again, right in the heart of the markets...a "hole in the wall" type of eatery.
The menu board. We both got the Paesano!
The pride of winning the Bobby Flay Throw Down: Paesano's Brisket! We won!
Here it is...the Paesano: Beef Brisket, Pepperincino, Roasted Tomato, Sharp Provolone, Horse Radish Mayo, and a Fried Egg...
This is truly a "napkin for every bite" sandwich!
The tiny eating counter looks out onto the sidewalk markets on 9th Street in South Philly.
No Restroom, just a public sink to wash your hands!
An old door to one of the 9th Street shops.
