milky waters at stormy southwold

one of my new years resolutions is to get up early and conquer different projects that i set myself...todays was get up early and milky water...i think i was fairly succesful!!

At 08h37m22s in January I'd prefer a milky cappuccino at comfy home...
Yet the photo you gained that way is really astounding, (as already deservedly stated below ;-))

Great composition, light and colour - this one holds very special relevance for me: we placed a plaque in memory of my father on this pier .... it was one of his favourite places ....

This is the photo which has captured my attention and my admiration.
It’s perfect, I could not imagine a better way to treat this subject.
The colour of the sky matches the one of the houses on the pier, while the lover part of the photo is dominated by the colour of the sand, totally different and the reflection, which in a way merges the two elements of the photos, making them marvellously homogeneous.

Thats always a resolution of mine at this time of year, but the weather never obliges. However, you've proved it doesn't have to be sunny. I like the result.

Well I would say that worked pretty damn well for a first attempt Bev! I like the pier reflected in the wet sand too. I took one from almost the same position last summer...http://www.pbase.com/steve_sharp/image/80253090 on a morning that was probably just as cold as today! :-)
