The Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (LCVP) is a smaller landing craft than the LCU and is primarily intended for the transport of personnel.
The type MkV(c) can transport 35 marines with complete equipment over the water.The LCVP MkV(c) can also take on board 2 Landrover off-road vehicles
or a BV206 tracked vehicle. The landing craft can be launched quickly from frigates and patrol ships with so-called davits (hoists) and can therefore
be deployed very quickly.
