The Human Face of War

When I think of war
All I see is bloodshed and death
Can someone tell me why it's always the innocent that suffer the most ?
How can war be about life when it causes so much death ?
How can peace and tolerance begin with hatred and destruction ?
How can we as human beings live like this and say it's okay to take another life in the name of peace ?
It breaks my heart to witness such senselessness,
From the very depths of my heart, I'm sorry for the suffering,
Everyday I pray for harmony, peace, tolerance and acceptance so there can be an end to this madness.
