Regrettably, I have very few photos of my many, many travels to Valley of Fire (north of Las Vegas) from many years ago, but wanted to preserve them here nonetheless. The quality is not as good as I'd like, but they still document one of my most treasured places on this planet. I have spent many hours exploring and finding quiet canyons where I can play/pray my Native American flutes and just "be." If I can find more in my back-ups from my long-deceased computer, I will post more. :-)
I know exactly what you mean. The following gallery is mainly of the Valley of Fire, we took our daughter there for her 21st! Regards, Chris

The colors are wonderful, Nancy -- they bring back memories of my own visit to this place back in 2006. (You can see a teaching image I made there at:http://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/56189917 ) In landscapes, so much depends upon how light can help you interpret the subject.
