Ruins are always evocative, because they usually reveal lost dreams. Such is the case here. Your guide the eye through the frame within a frame, below a shattered decorative arch, then into the darkness, and finally out into an overgrown land. This poor home was abandoned mid-construction. I've seen it several times and always vowed to come back and photograph it. Last Saturday was a perfect day - the sky was cloudy and dark, the rain intermittent, and it certainly fit the mood and lost feel of the place.
I like the exposure. You captured what the foreground and the background have to offer visually while letting that space in the middle remain a deep and dark black.
