Thank you, Phil ... it was a fascinating study in the randonmness of water movement, the sheer power and volume of the water, human determination and emotion. I was completely enthralled as I watched the trio of kayakers take turns diving into the torrent. I learned through a local that two of the three are the top ranked kayakers in the world.
This is a superb action image pitting man against nature -- the water abstracts much of the subject, which leaves more room for the imagination of the viewer to enter the image and feel what he or she might be feeling at this moment. You shot many files of this subject, and because you "worked" the image so thoroughly, you were able to freeze this wonderful moment in time forever.
