I spotted this rig on the side on the road in Quartzsite and stopped to talk to its owner. The gentleman told me he wasn't the original owner but that he purchased it from a woman in Alaska who used it in her surveying work.
He said there's usually a lot of TransVans here boondocking and was surprised that he hasn't seen any so far this season.
It's 17' long and built on a Dodge chassis.
