I agree with Walter, the land lights on the left can go. I left the water reflection in really to give the picture some sense of scale and location on the river. Unlikely to get to London again in the near future so I won't be able to re-shoot this one.
I'm torn between keeping the reflections and cropping them out!! Since they're not still (ie. you're not getting a mirror of the ship) they just seem a bit nondescript to me, and don't really add a huge amount, although the light is pleasing enough on the eye. No complaints about the top half, that's beautiful!
Amazing exposure for this shutter speed and ISO. The lighting is quite dramatic and effective and I like the perspective and exposure too. The only thing I might do is to remove the land lights around the forward turret. Well done!

I personally, really like this, I like the intence blacks, and slight reflections in the water. Maybe you could have played with the comp, but that said having no tripod limits you somewhat.
This is an old shot that I took some years ago, I was experimenting with shooting in the dark. I seem to remember that I just placed the camera on top of a wall as I had no tripod with me.
