Units

Are you a metric or imperial sort of person ?
I think that the reason imperial is often preferred is because the words are short to use, often just one syllable, like inch, mile or pint.
Much easier to say than centimetre or kilometre, especially after you have drunk a few centilitres.

Tack sharp, Too many songs with "mile" in it to change. Walk a mile in my shoes. :-)

Pour Once, Drink Twice (for my pints that is)... As for measurements-

Imperial all the way.... At least we ALL speak the same language in F Stops and ISO here on Pbase....

I'll drink to that!

Oh I couldn't agree more. The other day I found myself saying "it's only a few miles up the road". We haven't officially had "miles" in Australia since 1974. Much easier to say than "kilometres" although often I'll say "k"s. Beautifully executed picture. Good topic for discussion.

A centipede too far? Just so long as you measure up, Bill.

Is this an inch-worm...?

Love the yellow pop, personally since I have two feet, I remain with inches, pints etc, seems to be appropriate V

Either way you seem to have the measure of it.

We converted out here in 1970. I use cm, km, ml, etc:

Tack sharp and love the yellow and blue tones! We are metric here, but most of us still use inches and pounds. V

Super, sharp capture and commentary. It's also hard for people from the other side of the Atlantic to spell kilometer, centimeter and such correctly, even without a few centiliters ;-).
