Steamer
A setup to steam small-dimension oak strips for ease in bending.
SS teapot connects to 4 inch ABS pipe via thick wall hose using a discarded vacuum hose attachment.
Why that vacuum hose attachment was a bad idea: deformed in the heat and failed.
New setup: metal fitting at the ABS pipe, and a nylon reducer mid-hose.
Long view: Coleman stove heat source; 12 feet of ABS, angled down slightly, open on the far end.
After 20 minutes of steam-up, a small piece of oak spent 10 minutes inside; bent by hand and held in clamps.
Test bend released; some springback, but not much.
End view of test piece atop the ABS. I think this will work for the 10-footers, with a couple improvements.
