the aperture from the EFS 18-85mm IS f4-5.6 lens with broken cable.
Extreme care is needed to replace the flexible cable. I tried to desolder it
and damaged the pins on the aperture motor. Try to cut the cable away leaving
part of it in place. Perhaps you can solder the new cable on top of the existing flex cable
with care to help prevent damage to the pins of the aperture motor.
